D-Day
In honor of the soldiers who fought and died 65 years ago today, please take a moment and say a prayer of thanks for their courage and sacrifice. I think the world would be a different place today if not for the amazing acts of heroism (yes, heroism!) displayed by that great generation so many years ago. I hope that their example lives on today to inspire our nation to stand together to face the evil lurking about, waiting to destroy us.
beautiful tribute! So glad you remembered :)
ReplyDeleteMy sons learn heroism more through the history channel than through the lit they read today! Thanks for reminding us what today was about!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said. We are so on the same page on so many things!
ReplyDeleteWell said!

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog. You have a cute summer looking blog. I'm off to look around now. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I am in DC for a few days and we went to the WWII Memorial. There were so many vets there (many who stormed Normandy). We shook hands with as many as we could and thanked them for their service. They were all very sweet. I cannot imagine what it was like for them.
