It's a "Winter Wonderland" here in Virginia today!
Last night, I had an absolute blast at an annual Game Night with about 15 girlfriends. It was a late night, but worth the lack of sleep...I want to go to Target and buy Pop 5 now!
Today, I'm catching up on laundry, psyching myself to take the girls out on their sled (I don't have any snow pants!), and hopefully catching up on some magazine and book reading tonight.
{What about you?}
I thought I'd condense a few of my favorite posts from around Blogland this week in case you're in the mood for some good bloggy reads this weekend:
~Garbage Wars on My Husband is Annoying-- this is a guest post on the site, but funny just the same. I think many wives can relate to her plight.
~Information on how to run a Freezer Meal Group from Laurel at Ducks in a Row.
I would LOVE to have some friends to do this with! What a way to hold yourself accountable with meal planning.
~An awesome guide to Finding Great Clothes at a Thrift Store from Jen at Balancing Beauty and Bedlam. Jen is a pro at scoring cute clothes, mixing and matching, and looking put together...on a budget!
~Speaking of fashion, Big Mama posted a fabulous list of Cute Stuff, including this amazing pair of GAP's boyfriend jeans, which almost makes me want to stalk Jillian Michaels and beg for some training sessions.
~I got teary reading Kate's post about lessons learned from unexpected sources. Such simple honesty!
~Jane's White Bookshelves at Finding Fabulous. Fabulous, indeed.
~And Richella offered some wonderful advice for any of us facing this winter storm that's blowing through!
{Have a wonderful weekend, my wonderful readers!}
Thank you for the linky love, Amanda! Here in Durham we're snowed in but not dealing with ice, thank goodness! Enjoying being stuck at home. . . nice to be lazy sometimes!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Love,
Richella
I love links to good posts! My daughter and I were looking at Gap online last night and I spotted those jeans:)
ReplyDeleteI am totally drooling over that built in bookshelf! AND I'm so hitting up the Gap tomorrow to try on those jeans!
ReplyDeleteHey Amanda,
ReplyDeleteHope you guys are staying warm! I don't know what your hubby does, but I'm sure this much snow can't be good!!
take care,
Linda
PS let me know if you're ever in my neck of the woods :)
Oh how I wish I could go sledding, snow pants or no snow pants ! I watched Julie & Julia last night - I'm always the last one. Anyway, it was fab ! Hubby loved it too. Hope the rest of your weekend is awesome, and I'm so jealous of your girl's night ! Those are simply the best and worth the lack of sleep. :-)

Yay...thanks for the lil' feature! That's always cool! We're in Charlotte, NC and got 2 inches of snow. And I relate about the lack of snow pants. My kids had some, but they were small to say the least! But it sure is FUN to get some snow once a yeat. Maybe we'll get more tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWe are snowed/iced in here, so I've been a bum most of the day. I'm just now starting to get productive. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me on my SITS day!
We got about a foot of snow here and it's a winter wonderland outside.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your links to other blogs. My favorite is the 70's coffee table turned tv stand. That's such a great idea!
Very good blog you have here ;) Thanks a lot for stopping by The Coffee Shop I hope I can see you there again soon... and hopefully see some of your pics on "Coffee Friday" ;) ... I am looking forward to reading more of your blog!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you now!
Paloma.
I am sooo jealous! All we ever get is ice! It's not as much fun trying to build an iceman and forget an iceball fight. That's an emergency room visit looking for a place to happen!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the boyfriend jeans! I need Bob at my house. I couldn't function if Jillian yelled at me!
Thanks for including me in this - I'm off to run and look at the others!
ReplyDeleteGood list!
ReplyDeleteRobin Sue had a great post about a meal prep party this week, http://www.bigredkitchen.com/2010/01/how-to-host-freezer-meal-making-party.html
I'm planning one for my mom's group :)
Awww, I don't have snow pants either, I had to wear jeans while shoveling. :-/
