and Emma was busy decorating herself,
...so I needed something to decorate.
Unfortunately, we were snowed in. I truly had to "shop my house" and put together a Valentine's wreath using only what I had on hand.
I started with a grapevine wreath that I've used for several other holidays. Kind of "meh," right?
I layered that with some pink berries, and a Target Dollar Spot heart wreath.
Secured with glittery heart ribbon.
I don't have a wood door, otherwise I would have looped the ribbon over the door like The Nester.
My girls were excited to see it, but they were also excited when I pulled out a box of Multi-Grain Club Crackers, so that's not saying much.

ReplyDeleteVery cute wreath! And no wood door here either. But when I want the Nester look I just loop it over anyway and then secure the ribbon or burlap or whatever I am using to loop with, at the top of my door with duct tape. You have to tape both the strands of ribbon or it will start to slip, but it works great and can not be seen.

ReplyDeleteCute! You might check the top of your door - mine isn't all wood, either but I found on the top that in between the metal it is pressed board or something. So I nailed into that. It works fabulously - you know I hang most of my wreaths with burlap sashes!
