In other news, I hope you are pouring through your old Decorating Dilemmas posts to find some inspiration for the Show Me the Progress party party! Meet up here on Wednesday, March 10th for some fun (Giveaway contest for participants!). I can't wait to see the different ways my readers are making progress, whether it's in their homes or their day-to-day lives.
Here's a little light reading for your weekend...some of my favorite posts from around Blogland this week:
Kimm had a fantastic post last Friday afternoon with her Top 5 Budget Decor Rules.
I would never have thought to take a saw to a coffee table, but Melissa did and ended up with a completely new set of furniture. Check out her Cut-up-Table Entryway Benches!
Because I love frugal decorating ideas, here's a link to Jane's tea towel art.
I want to start a local dinner club. It would be nice to eat a meal that does not consist of chicken nuggets. Or tatertots and jello {wink, wink, Jen...you know I love ya!}. Laurie over at Tip Junkie had a great post on How to Start a Dinner Club.
Laurie also had a wonderful post with some ideas for Kids' Spring Break Activities. Yes, please.
Laurel's Baby Blanket with a Twist.
I hope you have some fun things planned for your weekend! We have a trip to the dentist AND the doctor planned for this morning. I'm not sure what I was thinking. I bought a small Polly Pocket toy at a consignment sale yesterday as a down payment for Natalie not going into hysterics when the nurse breaks the shots out. We'll see how that works out.
{Have a wonderful weekend, my wonderful readers!}
Amanda, I love your Fridays. You always have some great links for us to check out. Thank you for doing this.
ReplyDeleteDoctor and dentist, huh? Oh, I hope Polly Pocket works for you! But maybe you're smart to get it all out of the way on one day.
By the way, your name was the one I drew out of a hat for my little Erin Go Bragh giveaway! If you'll send me your address, I'll send you your little prize.
Have a great weekend!
I sure hope that works for you. My fingers are crossed as well!! Thanks for all the links.

Great links! We found a great Dora the Explorer book about going to the dentist (came in a set from Cosco a while back) and my kids loved reading it - goes through all the dentist does and we made the sounds and everything. They've LOVED the dentist from their first visit! Actually ask to go!
ReplyDeleteAww poor Natalie. :-( Give her a little children's tylenol beforehand & it'll lessen the sting.
ReplyDeleteYour Fridays inspire me and always lead me to some good reads.Hope you will stop by...I just added some extra giveaways...
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have a few hours to blog hop.

Love these posts! Melissa is a genius w. the benches she made.
ReplyDeleteLove the bench thing!! Also, my friend and I have been discussing a dinner club for about, oh, I don't know, years... so thanks for the link on that one! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love your Friday links. My blogging time was about zero this week and I'm looking forward to clicking on your links.
ReplyDeleteI hope that appointments were smooth sailing and that you didn't have to endure too many tears.
We are in a supper club and it is really fun. We take turns hosting it and the host picks a theme and usually makes the main course. Everyone else brings a side and beverages. Ours is a really low key version and isn't fancy at all. Everyone really enjoys it. Our next one is a "bucket of chicken" party. We are going to get fried chicken from a bunch of places in town and see what is best.
Oh my gosh. That March 10th is coming up so fast. Guess I'd best quit reading blogs and get back to work. :) See you on the 10th.
