I thought perhaps since I gave you a make over last week, I'd write to see if you subscribe to the concept of quid pro quo. Basically,
I wrote a similar letter to Santa Claus in December, and he wasn't impressed. I've opted to keep my expectations lower this time. I won't be asking for a pool boy again, but a sound-proof craft room would be nice. Here are a few things I'd just love to call mine this Spring:
1. Any of the fab Spring shades from OPI. I love OPI--good nailpolish, and you can't beat the names of all the shades!
2. Good reads (Christian fiction can have kind of wishy washy characters, but I love these two authors!):
3. Anything from Charming Charlie!
5. This dress from Old Navy (how cute is it?!):
6. J'adore these wedges. They might be Payless, but I likes 'em:
7. 'Nuff said:
If you would also be so kind as to distract my kids in the yard for an hour or two so I can take a nap, that would be great. They like shiny things...take after their mama.
I'll throw in a couple of carrots to sweeten the deal. What do you say?
Sincerely,
Amanda
{What would you love to find in an Easter basket made just for you?}
I'm an easy please. I'd take a fountain diet coke (cuz you know they're better than a can or bottle). Throw in some milk and bread so I can skip Walmart this week, and I'm good to go!
ReplyDeleteOf course a foot rub, pedicure, spa, or massage gift card would always be a good treat too.
Oh my gosh why do I want EVERYTHING you put on your list too?! Sooo cute! I'd never heard of those Christian authors b/f, I'll have to check them out, a friend of mine recommended Beverly Lewis to me a while back, I just got one of her 1st books & want to start it soon, I'll let you know if I like it. And I keep hearing somuch about charming charlie's but haven't been yet for fear of spending my entire tax return there. And chocolate? How can you go wrong there, especially, chocolate w/ peanut butter! :-D Hope you at least get a few things on your list :-D
ReplyDeletea gap gift card ---
ReplyDeleteoh the pleasure in going in w/ their spring clothes and treating myself!!
Those wedges are adorable! How come whenever I look online at Payless they have nothing?!?!
ReplyDeleteThat dress and those shoes are too cute! And Reese's eggs are my weakness at Easter!
ReplyDeleteFrancine Rivers is really good...have you read the Mark of the Lion trilogy?
ReplyDeleteI also like Robin Jones Gunn (Sisterchicks) and Karen Kingsbury.
You've got yourself the makings of one great Easter basket there!
ReplyDeleteWhat IS it about those Reese's eggs? I like Reese's peanut butter cups, of course, but somehow the eggs are even better! I'm not sure why. Somehow I must force myself to stay away from the clearance sales on Easter candy.
I hadn't seen that dress from Old Navy. I was there yesterday buying shorts for my boys. And shirts for my boys. And belts for my boys. Dresses? What department would that be in? I need to make another trip!
That dress is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteMy Easter basket? Starbucks and chocolate!!!
What a great dress from Old Navy! (Would you believe that I've never set foot in one of their stores? ... Yes, if you saw me here in my old sweats and t-shirt, you'd believe it. LOL) I'm definitely with you on the chocolate, too.
ReplyDeleteI actually have no requests for the Easter Bunny, except maybe a nap. And I got to take one of those yesterday, so I can't complain at all. :)
I would like to find a gift certificate for a weekend at the Spa!! That will do nicely!! I love those wedges too!

I'll take one of those dressese please! Super cute! They didn't have that at my Old Navy. Durn!
ReplyDeleteHope the Easter Bunny does you good girl! Good luck!
Those shoes are Fab. They surely don't look like Payless shoes. Reese's Peanut Butter eggs...YUM!!
ReplyDeleteMy Easter basket is arriving a day early. The Easter bunny this year will be wearing UPS brown :) My new iPad is being delivered on Saturday and I am soooooo excited I can barely stand it!!!
Those books look great! I am always up for a good referral. I agree about the christian authors-thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you got your box and you loved the carrots! Sorry it took so long! Funny post-I just got home from Old Navy with my easter presents-forget the bunny-he never comes through for me!
What a great idea. Reese's peanut butter eggs, are you kidding? Those puppies are a must at Easter! Cute dress from Old Navy and love love love the wedges. Being only 5'4 my closet is full of 'em. Stumbled across your blog and am your newest follower. Look forward to reading more.
ReplyDeleteReeses?!?! A girl after mine own heart.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Slommler, I'd love a gift certificate for a spa weekend.
ReplyDeleteAnd a pretty J. Crew ruffled cardi wouldn't hurt, either!
Happy Easter.
Payless wedges? Serious?? It's been a couple of years since I've shopped there but guess where I'll be this weekend? Payless!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday Girl!
Good question! I'd be happy with some cadbury eggs ... those things are pretty awesome :-)
ReplyDeleteSome sparkly nail polish and lip gloss would be fun too!
Your list looks pretty good to me. I'd have to add jellybeans to mine!
