"Get your motor runnin,'
Head out on the highway.
Lookin' for adventure,
And whatever comes our way....
Born to be wild!"
I feel like this month has been a little bit crazy with trips out of town, wonderful new sponsors, and bigger than normal (for me) blog parties. I thought it would be fun today to just share something little from our life as of late.
We are lucky enough to live about half a block from our local elementary school, which boasts not only two big open playgrounds, but a nice flat parking lot...perfect for two little Evel Knievels in training.
Some are more cautious, and prefer to keep both tiny feet on the ground...
...while others whiz by at the speed of light, so quickly that their mothers can barely snap the shutter.
What?! Don't you wear pearls when you go bike riding?
(P.S. She insisted on wearing a helmet like her sister.)Only T would be trying to teach a 2 year old how to pop a wheelie on a tricycle.
Poor Emma got roped into coming along. Literally. She's lucky we drove (It would have taken Michaela Byrd 3 days to "ride" the trike down the parking lot), because she hates going for walks that don't involve a ride in the jogging stroller.
We ended the spontaneous afternoon by picking "flowers" and possibly a tantrum in the parking lot.
{Have you done anything spontaneous lately?}
Hope to see you tonight or tomorrow for the Decorating Dilemmas party!
Loving he pearls! Why not look beautiful when you ride!
ReplyDeleteThe girls are gorgeous and those pearls are just perfect.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a cute puppy!! She looks a little puzzled as to the festivities.

How fun that you have such a great place for the kiddos to ride their bikes! We decided very last minute this past weekend to repaint out living room. Other than a few mishaps with the paint, it turned out really great!
ReplyDeleteThat photo of your littlest wearing pearls is the cutest thing! And the last photo too, how sweet is that. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are so cute! What a great place to practice riding bikes!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
XOXO

So cute! I am loving the pearls - what a little fashionista in the making!
ReplyDeleteOn Sunday, my boyfriend and I bought a football and tossed it around for a while outside. That's about as spontaneous as I get sometimes, but it sure was fun. Now my arm hurts, but it was worth it!
They're so cute! Hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeletethose cute little girls are precious and how great they are learning to ride a bike! I've got to get my 5-year-old on the ROAD!!
ReplyDeleteSooooo cute!! And wearing the pearls whilst riding the bike? For sure!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love an open playground:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Spring day memory! Love these days...
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! I remember how much I loved riding my bike when I was young. :)
ReplyDeletePearls and helmets go really well together, actually. :)
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother's house was right across the street from an elementary school playground. Some of my best childhood memories are set right there. What a blessing to have a school close by!
I miss red tricycles!! ;)
ReplyDeleteSO cute! You are a busy blogger right now! I missed your blog party thing!! It will be once a month!? =)
Fun! When we lived in the church rental house, my kids would ride their bikes all over the parking lot. It was great for them, and for me...they were occupied and safe, and I could easily keep my eye on them.
ReplyDeleteNatalie gets points for her perfectly coordinated purple outfit!
I always wear pearls to go bike riding. ;) Your girls are just too cute. It looks like they really enjoyed themselves. We live in a quiet neighborhood with lots of sidewalks and there are always tons of people walking and riding bikes. We really enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the wheelie. T & my hubby would get along great. Maybe someday you can all come to the farm, cause I know Mike will not come to the city.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the helmets. Keep them babes safe ;)
So cute! I remember those days. Enjoy...they grow up way to fast!

ReplyDeletesuch cute pictures! Stopping by from SITS! Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeletePoppin' wheels with Daddy...it doesn't get any better! Well maybe wearing pearls with mommy ranks up there! Fun pictures...makes me think of my kids when they were little ones. Although at 8 & 10 their still pretty little.
