The four of you who comment on these Friday posts voted for me to keep writing them, so your wish is granted. {wink} I have some really great links and new sites for you this week!
~Got a huge laugh out of a site my sister sent me called Catalog Living. As much as I love my Pottery Barn/ Ballards/Restoration Hardware catalogs, they do tend to take themselves pretty seriously. If you like catalogs, you'll love this site!
~Pam gave her readers a tutorial on how to slipcover IKEA dining chairs. She also shared photos of her Fab Dining room in Progress.
~Kim wrote up a wonderful post with some great recipes for her Fresh Herbs.
~Oh, how I wish I was going to Disney World so I could order some of these Custom Mickey Pieces from Tangerine Kitty.
~Looking for some great recipes for a patriotic menu? Check out Kraft! (No affiliation, I just like their emails!)
~Want some fun ideas for celebrating the 4th of July? Both Kate and The CSI Project hosted great Independence Day-themed parties this week!
~Cheryl always has something fun up her sleeve. This week it was a Gingham Flag T-shirt.
~One of the things I admire about Sarah is that she is Real! She doesn't mind sharing her failures alongside of her successes. Her 4th of July Cake might be slightly off-color, but it looks delish!
~Y'all know how much I love me some Fluffy Books. My friend Meri recently sent me the link to Chick Lit is Not Dead. How much fun is that?
{Do you have any special plans for this weekend?}
We're having a little pizza party with Mimi tonight, some pool time, have to clean the bathrooms (yay!), and I have a bunch of zucchinis that need to be used up. Nothing too crazy for the 4th because T is working. I know, I know. I live such a glamorous life. Jealous?
Stop by tomorrow for a Stop and Shop post!

Those Mickey Mouse bags are SO cute!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
thanks for sharing Catalog Living..funny stuff!
ReplyDeleteThis weekend we're going to a 4th of July parade..my aunt's birthday party...I'm running a 5k and then we're having a 4th cook-out! I swear we never have this much to do and then all of a sudden, it happens at the same time!
Looks like great weekend line up once again!
ReplyDeleteWe are hoping to head to the pool this weekend and may even try to take in some fireworks this weekend.
Catalog living looks like a hoot - going to check it out! (I'm a mean mom, too :)
ReplyDeleteI got a really good recipe for ravioli with roasted zucchini from the Real Simple magazine website. It is delicious...my kids will even eat it. (So, it must be a decent recipe!)You can adjust the spicy-ness of it, but my kids like it spicy. Happy 4th of July. Love your blog, as always!
ReplyDeleteI must have missed the vote regarding the Friday posts, but I like them! Thanks for sharing!

true confession: i don't comment on your weekend bloggy reading because i'm off checking out the posts you recommend. i'm very easily distracted.
ReplyDeletebut i'm always here reading.
actually, you are my go to blog first thing each morning. thanks to your awesome sidebar of super links, it's like one stop shopping. you have an awesome blog!
happy 4th!
just went to catalog living. that is sooo funny. they are all the things we are really thinking as we look at them!
ReplyDeletethe funniest thing is, i think gary is my husband, who does some pretty strange things around the house. the number one question of each day to him is "why?"
Your life may not be in a glamorous stage right now, but it sounds like a lot of FUN! Sorry T has to work on the 4th. Maybe you can take in some fireworks after he gets home.
ReplyDeleteI have some friends who are going to New York for the weekend. They'll be staying at the Waldorf Astoria. Sounds glamorous, doesn't it? But they're going to fill the hole that's left because they don't have any children with them. They're both divorced and remarried, and this weekend is one of those times when they have no kids at all. I'd take life with precious loved ones over that kind of glamour any day. :)
Have a great weekend!
I had a good chuckle looking at Catalog Living yesterday, funny!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to take a look at your other sites you shared. Have a great weekend!
Love the catalog living site =) It ranks up there with cake wrecks lol!
ReplyDeleteNo big plans here for the 4th. Our Sunday school class is getting together and other than that, I told the kids I would paint their rooms this weekend...
Great links! I bought some plain t's to make those gingham shirts!
