A little Christmas funny for you today...can you tell me what's wrong with this photo?
If you guessed "cat in the tree," you would be correct!
I thought this would be a great way to introduce you to my mom's newest addition, Elizabeth Bennet.
Mr. Darcy, my mom's evil cat, is overjoyed to have another cat around because this means that he has twice the food to gorge himself on now.
Thankfully, other than her proclivity for Christmas tree climbing, Elizabeth Bennet is quite social and a good little kitty. I pray that Mr. Darcy's bad manners do not rub off on her. I don't think my leg can handle any more scars.
Hope your weekend has gone well. We got a couple of Christmasy errands run and a little laundry folded. I STILL need to address Christmas cards...tell me it's not too late!
Come back tomorrow for a fun recipe swap with Domestic Fashionista!

Amanda, our cat did the SAME thing only it was in our 12 ft tree and he went 3/4ths the way up. He succeeded in knocking it over twice. This year we have a small table top tree. I miss our huge tree but it has saved SO many ornaments ; )
ReplyDeleteMaybe, like in the novel, Ms. Bennet will have a positive influence on the cold and hard-hearted Mr. Darcy. However, I'm not sure how the cat world works.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing that there weren't any ornaments on the tree when Miss Elizabeth Bennet climbed it! She certainly is a pretty kitty!
ReplyDeletewhat a cheeky monkey!
ReplyDeletetoo funny! our cat loves to sleep under the tree but has yet to try to climb it! it's not too late for cards-mine are going out in tomorrow's mail-just have to add stamps
ReplyDeleteIt is not too late...get them done today and out. They will make it. Love the cats in the tree! Too funny!

Haha! I love it! Maybe Miss Bennet will rub some charm off on Mr. Darcy & he can live up to his esteemed name. Anyone with the name of Darcy needs to have better manners. Let me know if she sets him straight;-P
ReplyDeleteHa! Love it! I had a cat named Mr. Darcy years ago but he never had a Miss Bennet to keep him company.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Have to admit I'm a total Christmas card failure this year. Didn't get a single one out!
I totally missed it until I read on! That is so funny!
