She's No Lassie...

I didn't think much of it when T mentioned Emma seemed entirely too comfortable on his leather couch, or even when he complained that she was looking him straight in the eye with no qualms.

"That dog thinks she's the boss of me!" he told me indignantly.

No, she doesn't alert us when a local child has fallen down a well; and no, she doesn't always come inside when you call her...and yeah, she'd probably sell us all for a Cheez-It; but I'm quite sure she loves us for us...I think?

But when I caught her rifling through the closets for accessories, I wondered if it was time to have a chat about boundaries.

How does one have a lucid conversation with a creature who snacks on acorns and naps under the coffee table?

I think I'd rather just let her keep the glasses....

  1. Haha! That is so adorable! We just got a baby parrot a little while ago (our landlord won't let us have a dog or cat so we thought the next best thing was a bird) & I *know* that she wouldn't alert us of any dangers lurking about. Haha!

  7. Ahhh, too cute! I did a portraitof a Pomeranian last year for a blogger pal in exchange for an ad {hint, hint ;)}

    Have you seen Draw The Dog? Pioneer Woman turned me on to it and I LOVE his drawings! I don't think he's done a pom yet - he'd love this photo!

  9. Haha!! Way too cute! My dog was going through our pool toys and got a hold of goggles one time, we put them on her and took a picture. Funniest picture to date of our dog. Emma is so stylish!

  10. Do you think she's trying to put in a plug for a new movie called "Beverly Hills Pomeranian"?

  11. Too cute! Wouldn't it be fun to know what our dogs really think of us? They might all be actors just looking for the next meal. I'm pretty sure that my dog would throw me under a bus for a peanut.

I love to hear your feedback! Please feel free to leave comments...just don't send me spam asking me to buy stuff off your website! I've got three kids and no money to purchase your magic weight-loss pill or bust enhancement, or whatever else you might be selling. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you! :)
