Here are a few of my faves from this week:
sources listed below
~With a little help from the Apostle Paul, Richella poured her heart out in a touching (and convicting!) post entitled Thoughts from a Blogging Mother. Best post I've read anywhere in a long time.
~How to Make a Household Notebook from Tip Nut.
~Kim Compared House Renovations to Having a Baby. She was spot on!
~Melissa turned a brassy light fixture into a fabulous-for-five dollars Pottery Barn Knock-Off.
~And moi?
This week, I shared my Winter Reading List, showed you my Valentine's Decor along with a Valentine's Scentsy Warmer Giveaway, gave you the recipe for the world's best Butterscotch and Chocolate Chip Nut Bars, and announced a new monthly blog party for Silhouette/Cricut/Cuttlebug/Sizzix, etc. projects, tips, and tricks: I {Heart} My Crafty Cutter party (opens Monday, Feb. 21st!).
Time to link up your best post of the week (please, please take the time to include a link-back or my party button and visit some of the other participants!)
Here's the button code if you'd prefer to use that rather than a link-back:
Party is open until 10 pm (ET) on Sunday night.
Remember that blog parties work best when bloggers participate, so if you have a chance to visit a few of the other links, you might find a new friend or two!
I have a Blessings Unlimited party tonight, the girls have a birthday party tomorrow morning, Sunday School get-together tomorrow night, and big plans for Super Bowl commercial watching on Sunday while T cheers on whichever team he dislikes least. Busier than I'd like, but hopefully fun!
{What are you up to this weekend?}
Amanda! Thank you so much for mentioning my little post. I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteAfter coming home from Blissdom, I've had to remind myself of what's really most important. It's easy for me to get sucked into whatever is swirling about me. That post was sort of the overflow of what was going on in my heart.
And that cute red-headed boy in the photos? He just found out that he was accepted at UNC-Chapel Hill and that he's a finalist for a merit scholarship at Sewanee. It seems like just yesterday I was teaching him to read. Now it's time to send him off to college. It's fine with him for me to be a blogger, but only if I'm his mom first. Sometimes I really need a reminder of what takes priority! :)
Love ya!
Ohhh - now I can't wait to go read Richella's post! And you know I'm a sucker for bars...wait that doesn't sound right. Make that cookie bars! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda! Wow! Some great inspiration! Hope you are having a great weekend!...hugs...Debbie

ReplyDeleteRichella's post was one of my favorites of the week.
Oh I knew you'd highlight Richella's post this week...it was REALLY good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this again. I like checking out everyone's posts.
Enjoy your weekend. Ours will be busier than I'd like too but it is filled with good stuff so I can't complain :)
Go Steelers!
Jenn
All linked up! Have a great weekend!! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Richella's post was awesome! Hope your party does well tonight! I'm with T on the Super Bowl party. Guess I'll root for the Packers since The Steelers are mortal enemies of The Cowboys and they're playing at our stadium. Maybe I'll make your bars for the Super Bowl. Sounds like a good excuse to cheat to me! :) Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting, always nice to be linking at your party! I'm going to read Richella's post now! Have a great weekend,
ReplyDeleteVeronica

Thanks again for a great Friday party! I always love the reads I find through your party and love all the sweet comments I receive as well! (((Hug)))
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out! I'm just glad I don't have to give birth to the house. That could be painful.
ReplyDeleteOkay... to much information. Thanks again, Amanda. You are so sweet.
Amanda,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a very busy weekend ahead! Hope its wonderful!!!
Have fun with your church group and of course all of the food and laughs with the Super Bowl commercials!!! LOL
I have made so many new friends from your parties! I love them! Hope you have a great weekend and get a little time to breathe too! :D
Thanks again for hosting!!!
Building Home with Him,

Richella's post was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
Thank you for hosting! I too loved Richella's post. I went to Blissdom and had a great time but I really can't spend any more than 1-2 hours a day on my blog so I was a little overwhelmed by all the stuff I "should" be doing. I usually just do it during nap or night time but I do have to sleep and cook and clean the house and do laundry too!! Don't know how people do it...oh and I LOVED mini shopaholic!!
ReplyDeleteAmanda,
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit to your sweet blog. I will be returning. I have linked up and will have a link back to you as soon as my tech guy gets in from work. I will also spread the word about your party. Thank you for hosting!
Deborah
LOL! Your Super Bowl plans sound pretty much like ours! The women watch the commercials and the men cheer for the least hated team! My boys are in our school pageant tomorrow so we will be spending most of our weekend involved in that! Have fun at your party tonight!
ReplyDeletei didn't know you had this linky party! now i do!
ReplyDeletei read richella's post, that was awesome, now i am off to see the other girls and your posts. gotta catch up on some goings-on around here!!

ReplyDeletewe had a busy weekend but alot of our basketball games were cancelled due to too much snow on the roofs of the gyms-just laying low now and watching commercials like you :)
I have an award for you! http://livinthedream07.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteCheering for whichever team he dislikes least, haha! That's about how I feel with our Bears not making it. We'll be having a party, for which I need to get cleaning! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying browsing with my breakfast, thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction of where I need to go, haha! Have a great weekend, Amanda.
Yay!!!! I was finally able to link up all by myself! ;)
ReplyDeleteI just had to tell you that I have some butterscotch chocolate chip bars in the oven--thanks to YOU!!! And I also have to confess...as soon as the first batch went into the oven (and I tried a *couple* of bites of the raw dough), I promptly made a 2nd batch!! Can't wait eat one or two or four!! Thanks in advance for all the calories! Yum!
ReplyDeleteAmanda~thanks for highlighting my light! I'll have to check out the other great links~I loved Richella's too. We were visiting family this weekend so I loved the re-cap of the commercials~ I can always count on you to pick out the best! :) xo
