I recently had the opportunity to try out some really fun design software from My Memories, a top-rated digital scrapbooking software. Not only did My Memories want to let me test out their program, they're hosting a GIVEAWAY so you can win your own copy...and a discount code for everyone! Keep reading for the code and to find out how you can win!
I haven't had the chance to work on my scrapbooks in a long time, but I still love doing crafty and creative things. For those of you who love to scrapbook, but may have a hard time finding the time to work on your albums, a digital scrapbooking software like My Memories may the key for you.
The software was easy to install, and adding photos and embellishments was just a matter of a a few clicks. I wasn't sure I'd get the hang of it, because I've always enjoyed the process of cutting, pasting, and decorating. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much fun I had playing around with the software.
Most of all, I love that you can use the software even if you aren't a scrapbooker. My Memories allows users to make greeting cards, photo books, trading cards, and more. Ashley used hers to enhance her blog post, and Laurel made chore charts. There's something for everyone! You can also visit the My Memories blog/forum for ideas, tips, tutorials, and how-to videos!
In doing a little research on the company, I discovered that you can import your existing photos, album pages, and/or paper themes and embellishments into the My Memories suite. I decided to import a vintage camera clip art graphic that I saved some time ago. Uploading was easy!
For my project, I wanted to incorporate words and a picture. Family photos (old and new) are really important to me, so I decided to use a great Eudora Welty quote:
I plan on printing my little Word Art project (without the watermark, of course!), framing it, and displaying it with some great black and white family photos.
