If you're a long-time reader, you probably recognize the pumpkins. I didn't spend anything on my vignette this time. I decorated the monogrammed and polka dots pumpkins a few years back, and they still look cute...so I still use them. I'd love to be able to purchase new decor every season, but we don't have any seasonal decor storage space left in our attic. And half the fun is using what you have and changing it up!
As usual, Emma the Pomeranian followed me into the family room. How could I not include her?
The black tinsel cat is a favorite of Natalie and Michaela Byrd's. I gave him a bow to match the ribbon on my Halloween Sign.
The "trick or treat" candy corn sign was a clearance find a few years back, and the Target Dollar Spot bucket is filled with mini pumpkins. Tip: stuff the bottom of the container with newspaper or a plastic bag and you don't have to add as many pumpkins!
I used the little white chair to hold their homemade trick or treat bags, but may move them to the knob on the sparkle sign:
I think Emma will wait here all month until those bags are filled...
Do you decorate for Halloween?

Amanda I love your fake mantel. I have been wanting to dress up the table in front of my tv like a mantel for a few years, but I never seem to get around to it. Maybe this will be the year:)
ReplyDeleteLove it! My favorite is that tinsel cat too! Looks very retro!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the mantel! Looks like Emma approves!
ReplyDeleteI love that Trick or Treat sign and the pop of purple added to the decorations. It looks so fun and festive!
ReplyDeleteAnother great look for your fake mantel! You do a great job of layering things up there.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who doesn't get into spooky-scary stuff. I used to feel strongly opposed to the spooky stuff. Now my feelings are more ambivalent--but it's not something I particularly like, so I just don't go there. Too much fun stuff for a need for spooky stuff, if you ask me. :)
That cat is just so cute :)

This looks awesome and so festive. My favorite is still your mod podge cat project. I'm trying to think of a way to make that idea Thanksgivingish.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute mantle!
ReplyDeleteVery cute...and especially Emma! I'm not into Halloween either, and with the kids all gone I don't have to decorate anymore. But yours does look great!
ReplyDeleteDebbie :)
I'm a huge fan of the polka dot pumpkin. This looks great. Your "mantel" always looks so festive. I love it.
ReplyDeleteYour display looks great and it's in a spot where you can really enjoy it and that the kids can't rearrange.
ReplyDeleteI don't like scary Halloween decorations, only the cute ones. I haven't had the energy to get any Halloween things out this year.
Cute Amanda! Shared around the world :)
ReplyDeleteWho says you need a fireplace to have a mantel! What a fun and festive idea - even Emma approves!
