Natalie was quite taken with the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney, so she decided to be a pirate (Princess) this year. I found her costume 50% off (just $12) at KMart. The boots I picked up at WalMart, knowing she'll wear them all winter. The hat and eye patch were from The Dollar Tree.
Michaela Byrd was a Fairy Princess or a Princess Fairy, depending on her mood when you asked her. Her costume is what she wore in her ballet recital in May; the sparkle shoes from WalMart; and the wings and tiara are from The Dollar Tree.
We started the Halloween festivities off with some pumpkin carving. T let the girls choose a design online, and then he got to work carving. They got to scoop the guts out, which was a highlight for them, I'm sure. We ended up with what they feel is the spookiest Jack-o-lantern ever.
Their cousin James came over for dinner, some photo opps, and then it was time to Trick or Treat!
They wasted no time dumping all of their candy out on the kitchen table, sorting it, keeping their daddy out of it, and making a few trades before bed.
And I only swiped three two pieces after they went to bed.

ReplyDeleteCute costumes...and great bargains too! My daughter wore her dance recital costume too...they are so darned expensive it just makes sense plus they are always so adorable it's a shame to only wear them once!

ReplyDeleteAmanda, I can't believe how tall Natalie is getting! It is funny how I have watched them grow up via my computer screen these last couple of years. Before we know it she'll be going to prom! Adore their costumes, looks like the scored in the candy department.
