All you need to put this together:
- 3M Command Hooks
- String or Ribbon
- Scissors
Directions to make your own?
*The string is knotted on each end and looped around the center hook twice.*
The rest was as simple as hanging Natalie and Michaela Byrd's doll clothes on the line. The nicest outfits (American Girl "historic" gowns, cute dresses, and costumes) were hung with doll clothes hangers. The remainder of the clothes (skirts, sweaters, pants, tights, socks, etc.) were refolded and stored in the doll trunk the girls already had.
I love the beautiful doll armoires I've seen in stores, but those take up space...and we just don't have that space right now. So, this was a great solution for us.
If you're new here, then you may want to check out this post about easy doll and toy accessory storage. I'm slowly putting together a doll play area for the girls...and trying to keep things put together at the same time. Having a dedicated spot for their nicest doll outfits is helpful. Now I don't have to worry about stepping on stuff in the dark and grinding velcro into the carpet!
And the dolls seem ready to celebrate {wink}.
Do you have any fun tips for storing or displaying toys in your home?

That is a great idea! My girls played with their for hours on end when they were their age!
ReplyDeleteThis is great--inexpensive and easy enough for my four-year-old. Just this week I was googling for ideas for this same issue. Thanks Amanda!
