I'm fairly certain that the Scotch tape I hung them with isn't great for the ceiling, but I didn't want to poke holes up there with flat thumb tacks, my other option. I staggered them a bit to fill up the blank spots on the wall, and they add a nice pop of color!
I've been working on Natalie and Michaela Byrd's American Girl play area for months now, tweaking here and there in that corner of their room whenever it crosses my mind. So glad I decided to hold onto those pom poms!

Such a cute little update! I love poms, too. They are such easy and fun party decor. And room decor, too!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I did a pom pom tutorial on my site too: http://enchantedmommy.com/pom-pom-tutorial/. I also laughed a little when I read "purchasing a magic weight-loss pill or bust enhancement". So true!
ReplyDeleteI love pompoms and so nice to see it as a room decor, perfect for that corner and for spring overall! love it!
ReplyDeleteCute! I used our leftover ones from a baby shower to hang in my little girl's nursery. http://www.colortransformedfamily.com/2013/01/23/a-colorful-nursery/
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing in my daughter's room - but I actually paid for the tissue paper pom pom kit! When I took everything out to put the pom pom's together I realized that I could have done it all myself with some tissue paper and string. Live and learn! But I knew I wasn't going to want to toss them after using them only for a 4 hour party. They look great after a little over a year. :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I just love the GIRLY look these pompoms create....I made these for a baby shower, but used a hole punch to make them look like eyelet. You punch out the holes along the edges while the folds are flat, then fan out. I'm sure you will love the added prettiness as much as everyone who saw them at the shower did! BTW, just love your blog!
