To my regular readers...you may have noticed that there haven't been many new posts up lately beyond the weekly link party and features.
There's honestly no reason for it other than the fact that I chose to take some time away from the stress of writing, editing photos, and plugging posts via social media. I didn't realize how much time I was spending doing those things until I pulled back! I have a bunch (!!) of projects, some completed, some in progress, that I want to share...but I just can't bring myself to sit down and spend hours editing photos lately.
I don't know if it's the new baby, or the fact that I don't feel like competing anymore...but I am sure enjoying the relief I've felt after four or five years of having a new post up every single morning at 8:01 am, five to seven days a week. This explanation has become a post of its own, but I want you to know that I haven't quit. I'm just busy living my life. I can't wait to have the time to share some of my fun projects and home stuff with you all...it is coming. Thanks for sticking with me!
You have a fantastic week, and be sure to stop back in. Stick around for some more fun posts this week and another link party on Friday morning.
Love the birds nest.. Blessings, Catherine
ReplyDeleteYay!! Thank you for featuring my mantel Amanda:) What a great little surprise this morning!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I'm eager to read your thoughts on this subject. The competing really gets to you after awhile, doesn't it? Blogging used to bring me so much joy, and it still does in some ways, but I miss the old days when it all seemed like more of a community and less like a competition.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're REALLY enjoying your life!
I'm fascinated by the painted book.
ReplyDeleteTotally feel you on the blog thing. I love to write on my blog, but have a hard time keeping up on reading other blogs and also social media. But, you gotta do what works for your family. We'll all be here.
Amanda, I stopped competing and started concentrating on why I began blogging...just to share my projects and get feedback from my readers. You enjoy that baby and one of the days you may be ready to dive in again...or not.
